Collagen Induction Therapy (CIT) is a minimally invasive non-surgical, non ablative procedure for facial rejuvenation.
Visible results after one treatment.
The treatment promotes the natural reproduction of collagen and elastin, making the skin feels smoother and tighter.
Collagen Induction Therapy, also known as microneedling treats very difficult areas including skin laxity, aging skin, sun damage, and scarring with relatively little downtime.
Reduces the appearance of fine lines
Erases dark spots
Acne free skin
Rejuvenates skin complexion
Skin treated with four microneedling sessions spaced one month apart, produced up to a 400% increase in collagen and elastin six months after completing treatment.
Hyaluronic acid serums should be used post-microneedling. Use this from days 1 to 14 after microneedling to hydrate and replenish the skin.
On your appointment day you can expedite your treatment if you arrive at your appointment with a fresh face. Please wash your face with a gentle cleanser and do not wear any lotion, perfume, or serums when you go to your appointment. If you are wearing make-up that day, please remove make-up before your appointment.
There are also steps you can take for your comfort during the treatment. For patients with sensitive skin, it’s sometimes a good idea to take Tylenol about one hour before your appointment to minimize any possible discomfort from the treatment process. We also can offer patients a topical numbing cream to use before the appointment starts to ensure their comfort.
Why This Much Preparation?
This amount of preparation is necessary if you want your treatment to be safe, effective, and comfortable. Ideally, following these preparation guidelines will make sure your skin is in peak condition and healthy enough for treatment. The goal of our treatment is to produce your desired aesthetic results without drying your skin or creating skin irritation. If you prepare well for your treatment, then you will be able to enjoy a radiant glow immediately after your treatment.
During the immediate recovery period of 24 hours, you will need to treat your skin well since this is the period when the micro-channels created by the treatment will be most open in your skin. Some things you will need to do after your treatment include
Avoid hot water, steam, excessive sweat, and heat.
Wash with tepid water and gentle soap.
Use simple moisturizers, like aloe vera or CeraVe.
Avoid direct sunlight.
Do not scrub or exfoliate the skin.
Do not use acids or active skincare products.
One week following treatment: Most of our patients will notice improvements in their skin just one short week after treatment. Initial results usually include improved skin tone, a reduction in acne visibility, and improved skin texture and reduced pore size.
How Many Treatments Do I Need? Most people need between three and six treatments to see their final results. For younger people, one to three treatments are often enough. It all depends on your body's unique cellular turnover rate, your age, and how you've treated your skin in the past.
How will you know it's working? Marks will appear less noticeable, wrinkles will be finer, and your skin's quality will be overall healthier.
This treatment is supercharged with a hydrating serum containing hyaluronic acid by TruGreen Organics. I also apply a serum-drenched sheet mask right after the treatment to help reduce redness and lock in moisture.
