Finding your inner calm, even when life gets chaotic
I just wanted to send you a quick love note to remind you that YOU ARE AMAZING! You can do anything you set your mind to. You are smart, you are strong and you can get through any obstacle with fierce drive and an unstoppable passion to succeed.
There are many different reasons to celebrate, but today I am celebrating a little louder. You see, only a few short years ago, I didn't fully believe in myself. There was doubt, there was uncertainty, there was fear, but mostly, there was negative energy.
I started practicing daily affirmation, yoga, and thought shifting. It didn't happen overnight, but I felt the effects almost instantly. That little burst of high vibe energy gave me a taste on what living deliberately was all about. I liked it. I liked it, a lot!
I now start my day with a specific mantra to reaffirm my intention. My favorite mantra consist of expressions of gratitude. If you follow me on social media, you know I'm always hashtagging #GratitudeIsMyAttitude.
As my day progresses, I remind myself to stay focused and grounded. I remind myself that I am in control of how I want to feel, how I want to act and react. I am in complete control on how I want to live my life. I choose my thoughts, not the other way around.
Have I mastered this technique? That's a hard No! Do I continue to practice positive affirmation? That's a solid Yes! The truth is, life happens and negative elements sneak in. I have stressful moments just like everyone else, I get frustrated, irritated and sometimes overwhelmed by unexpected delays and problems. Instead of feeling like I'm failing at keeping my shit together, I view those unpleasantries as teachable moments. I learn from them, and grow from each experience. It all contributes to my life upgrade, and you all know how passionate I am about levelling up.
When I feel the tidal wave of negative matter taking over, I ask myself, how can I make it a positive. How can I use the situation to become more self aware of how I allow it to affect me. With all the negatives circulating around me, how can I still shake my shine and live the best version of myself? This type of thought change takes practice and it's not always second nature for me. Eventually, if you remain mindful of keeping a positive mindset, it becomes easier. Isn't it time to take your power back? Once you get the hang of it, it seriously becomes addictive. This is one addiction you'll want!
I encourage you to create a mantra for yourself. A mantra that will empower you and continue to help re-charge your life battery. A mantra that will assist with levelling up. Ask yourself, what energizes you? What makes you feel your best? Create your own, or use mine! You'll be surprised at how powerful your words become once you say them out loud and to yourself. Feel your words. Own your mantra. Repeat your power statement often.
